Frequently Asked Questions

Can I register the same day as the ride? Yes, registration is from 7:30am to 8:15 am on the day of the ride and will be $65. If you register on the day of the ride free OR Century Ride t-shirt - you can purchase a t-shirt at registration for $15, some shirts will be available that day, if we do not have your size we will order it and mail the shirt to you.

Can I buy a t-shirt on the day of the ride? Yes, we will be selling them for $15. If we do not have your size available on the day of the ride, we will order it and mail it to you. Tee's are not available in XS or XXL. Can I pick up my packet before ride day? You can pick up your number and rider packet at Onion River Sports after 7/13/10 or on the morning of the ride.

Where is Onion River Sports? On historic Langdon Street in beautiful downtown Montpelier, VT (20 Langdon Street, Montpelier, VT 05602)

What can I expect at the Food Stops? Delicious grub, water and sports drink, some shade, and a bunch of helpful volunteers. We try to make sure there is plenty of salty (pickles, olives) and sweet (energy bars, home made cookies, pbj sandwiches, and fruit) to keep you going all day long. And lots to drink, water and sports drink so you can re-fill your water bottles (don't forget to bring those, we recommend 2 per person).

Can my family or friends meet me at the BBQ after the ride? Definitely, the more the merrier! Each registrant will get a food & beverage ticket, friends and family can purchase additional tickets so they can eat, drink and be merry with their rider friends!

Am I required to get pledges? No, there is not a required fundraising amount, but if you'd like to save some of your own $$ you can pay less in your registration fee if you get pledges. This year's new registration fee option: You pay $30 and get pledges for $50 - it saves you $20-$35 in the long run, but raises more for the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. If you don't think you can get $50 in pledges, you can always choose to register for the regular $50 or $65 amount and get whatever you can in pledges. We've set the bar high this year - we hope to raise $10,000 for the Library. If each rider raised just $25 that would go a long way toward getting there! This year's top prize for most pledges is the award of "No Kellogg-Hubbard Library Late Fees for 1 Full Year!" - with that kind of incentive, how could you NOT get a few pledges!

Do you have any tips for fundraising? If you register online you can take advantage of Active.com's customizable fundraising pages which are very easy to use. We recommend you send them to family and friends via e-mail, you'd be surprised how many people are happy to help you support a great cause like the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. If you register by mail or in-person, you will receive a pledge sheet to use in the same way, or we can give you a draft of a fundraising letter for you to mail to family and friends. Just let us know, we're happy to help!

I'm not riding, but I'd like to help out on ride day, what can I do? We always welcome volunteers! Contact Rachel Senechal (rysenechal@kellogghubbard.org) to help with registration, a food stop, or the end of ride BBQ.

Can I make a donation if I'm not riding? Yes, Yes and Yes! Please go to our donations page for more information.
