Find great bikes for the whole family at bargain prices at our annual Bike Swap on Saturday, May 6 from 9am to noon! Our friendly staff will be on hand to help you choose the perfect new-to-you bike from the HUNDREDS of bicycles in the ORS parking lot, and we’ll have the right kind of bike for everyone: mountain, gravel, road, commuter, kids – even bike trailers, baby joggers, tag-a-longs, and more! Langdon Street will be closed, so you’ll have plenty of room to test ride! And new this year, we’re also featuring a special ORS employee bike zone of gems, clunkers, and one-of-a-kind bikes tenderly cared for by us. But don’t sleep in: the best bikes go first and the line usually starts sometime between 6:30-7:30am.
Looking to sell your bike?
Bring it in from Sunday, April 30 to Friday, May 5 (we close at 8pm on Fridays). We’re happy to help you set a price, and then we’ll sell it for you the day of the swap. We also accept bike trailers, tag-a-longs, unicycles, balance bikes, and jogging strollers.
If your bike sells, choose from
- 80% of the selling price as a check
- 100% of the selling price as store credit
- 110% of the selling price in store credit towards the purchase of a new bike within one week of the swap (until Sunday, May 14)
Please do not call the store between 9am and noon the day of the swap to see if your bike has sold – our staff will be busy selling all of those awesome bikes and we will be unable to check on the sale of a specific bicycle. You’re welcome to stop by the swap or call us after 12pm to see if your bike has sold. Thanks for your understanding!
Increase the likelihood of selling your bike at the price you want with these easy steps! Everyone wants to buy a clean, shiny bike.
- Brush off cobwebs and dirt and shine up the frame
- Put air in the tires
- Lube the chain
If your bike does NOT sell at the Bike Swap, you are responsible for picking it up at Onion River Sports on Sunday, May 7 between 11am and 4pm. If you do not pick up your bike, we’ll donate it for you to a great local organization.
