Wednesday, June 14 | Flat Fix Basics
Have you ever found yourself stuck on the road with a flat tire and without the usual riding buddy who always fixes your flats for you? If the answer is yes, then this is the clinic for you! Our friendly, seasoned mechanic will provide an overview of how to fix a front or rear flat tire, what flat-fix gear you’ll need to take along on your ride, and even help you showcase your skills by practicing a tire change here at the shop. Time permitting, they’ll also help you self-diagnose other basic bike problems by showing you what to look and listen for.
Wednesday, June 21 | Special Edition: Bikepacking 101 (5:00-6:30pm)
Bikepacking…a long word for a ride that can be as short as you want (or, of course, as long and challenging!). This special edition of Wrenchin’ Wednesdays will move beyond bike mechanics to introduce you to the newest activity taking the bike world by storm. We’ll go over techniques to bikepack on the cheap and gear to make your experience easier and more comfortable. Bring in the bike you want to use for your first bikepacking excursion and we’ll give you personalized route and accessory recommendations! Come to this clinic and be ready for our debut bikepacking trip on Saturday, July 1st!
Wednesday, June 28 | Women’s Night: Flat Fix Basics
Join us for this women’s-only evening of bike maintenance! Meet other female riders, learn to fix a front or rear flat tire, and understand what gear you’ll need to keep in your pack or jersey pocket to be prepared to fix any flat on the road. Time permitting, our friendly mechanics and seasoned staff will also show you what to look and listen for to diagnose a few other basic bike problems.
Wednesday, July 12 | Suspension Night
Does your bike have front or rear suspension? If so, did you know that learning the ins and outs of how to use and maintain that suspension system isn’t nearly as intimidating as it looks? Stop by this evening and we’ll show you at our Wrenchin’ Wednesdays Suspension Night from 5-6pm tonight! Learn how suspension works, how to set it up and adjust on the go, and how to maintain it to keep it performing like new. We’ll also cover the advantages and disadvantages to having suspension on your bike.
Wednesday, July 26 | Brakes & Shifting
Learn the basics of maintenance and adjustment for two of the most essential systems on your bike: brakes and shifting. We’ll offer up tips for how to care for your brakes and your drive train, how to keep each component wearing evenly and running like new, and how to know when it’s time to replace parts. We’ll also cover the advantages and disadvantages of different kinds of brakes.
